| Services | The goals of the Samaritan Counseling Center are (1) to help individuals, couples, and families reduce pain in their lives and to develop self-esteem, satisfying relationships and activities, and the ability to deal constructively with stress; (2) to prevent the escalation of the ordinary changes of life into severe dysfunction, (3) to further prevent stress-related problems through community education, supervision and training for pastors and counselors, and cooperation with other community professionals and agencies. The Center offers the following services: (1) individual counseling, (2) group therapy, (3) marriage and family counseling. (4) pastoral counseling for individuals, couples and families. (5) medical consultation, and (6) educational programs. |
| Eligibility | Individuals of any age from Nacogdoches County and the surrounding area are eligible. The service is non-denominational. Referrals are accepted from individual; however, a referral is not a prerequisite for an appointment. If a client’s needs can best be served by another community agency, the client will be referred to that agency. |

| Cost of Services |
Service will be provided at an adjusted fee when deemed appropriate and as funding allows. All fees are based on a sliding scale basis. Most insurance is accepted and filed. Medicare and Medicaid. |
