| Services | The F.S.A. provides financial assistance to farmers and forest landowners
through the available programs outlined below. Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP): 50-75% of costs are provided for vegetative cover and supporting materials to improve soil and water conservation practices and other environmental programs. Loan programs for farm ownership, youth projects, farm operating and disaster loans. Production Adjustment Program (DCP): A price support program; the price of a crop is supported when the farmer is in this program. Disaster and Emergency Assistance Program: Provides funds in emergencies and disasters. Other services include assisting the Small Business Administration with production verification, insuring adequate energy supplies to farmers, foreign investment registration, and aerial photography. Due to the passage of the 1996 Farm Bill, FSA emphasized environmental and conservation measures. |
