| Services | The purpose of the American Cancer Society is to eliminate cancer as a major health problem through research, education, advocacy, and services. Resources available: (1) Information: phone help 1-800-227-2345, website information at www.cancer.org, clinical trials matching service, prevention and early detection information, or tools to help with treatment. (2) Emotional support: help finding local support groups, an online community for cancer patients and families, or cancer education classes. (3) Day-to-Day Help: help with financial and insurance questions, help with prescription quesions, help with finding lodging or transportation, or durable medical equipment items or supplies (i.e. hospital bed, wheelchair, wigs, turbans, hats, etc.) If you or someone you love has questions or needs assistance, please call the American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345. Someone is available to help you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. |
| Eligibility | Services are available to all residents of Nacogdoches County. Some patient programs may require a cancer diagnosis and a physical referral. Please call for more information. |

All sources of referral are acceptable and initial contact can be made by telephone, letter, referral, or by coming directly to the Lufkin office. |
